After building and playing with the Root 3, I decided I wanted something bigger so I could cut an 8 x 4 ft board as one, without having to saw it in two, so I ordered these parts, and wasn’t disappointed with what I received. The parts are as good as they look in the pictures.
These parts make building a machine a breeze, Pete has made the idiot proof, whilst even learning how to put a machine together, even if it is the first time, or 100th time.
For a beast of a machine, i’ definitely recommend buying these parts to make your machine buildings skills soar.

I ordered the root 4 side panels and z axis panels with threaded inserts. Pete shipped them out to me quickly and provided great support and customer service. They are made of very high quality plywood and look awesome out of the box. All the holes aligned well and made assembly a breeze

This is the 3rd time I have dealt with Peter at Rootcnc and again has always been helpful and ful of advice, the parts arrived very fast and look fantastic.
The parts are bigger than I had pictured, but this is a beast of a machine, the extra cost is well worth it.
They fit together very nicely, no sharp edges or getting and spells off these parts. By the time you have bought some ply wood, drawn the plan on it and tried to jigsaw the pieces out, it will look like a Heath Robinson affair, save the time and bother and order the parts for a little more than buying the wood alone, and have your machine looking like a professional setup, like Peter designed.

I would have wasted so much wood trying to cut these by hand. Right now I can’t even find a good source of the plywood you made these out of. Great design and I hope mine cuts as good as this!

The X axis end plates are awesome and cleanly cut from thick 12 or 13 ply. The X carriage is great but there was some slight delamination around the edges, but no real big deal. Wish the carriage plates were cut from higher ply count, but that’s just personal preference, they should work well as provided.

Fits perfectly with the 3d prints for a very nice price. When ordering dont forget the brexit (i did)you have to pay the courier the tax etc.
